Selling Your Old Phone?
Once it becomes time to upgrade, you may want to sell your old phone to offset the cost of your new phone or pay a few months of the contract bills. From here you have a few options to go about this, each with its own Pros and Cons.
Recycling Your Phone
Use the widget here to have your old phone compared and quoted with the most popular phone recycling companies such as Envirofone and Mazumamobile.
You will be taken to a new page showing their quotes for your phone! If you want to go ahead and sell your phone, just register with the relevant site and they will send you a free postage package that you can put your phone in.
Generally all these companies want is your phone and battery and don't care if it is a little scratched up or damaged as long as it functions. No charger is required and you can remove your SIM car and any memory cards before you send it.
eBay and other Auction sites
Another option is to eBay your phone (or even on Gumtree) which would most probably get you a better price if the phone is in good condition and you still have the original boxing and accessories. After accurately describing your phone and taking a picture of it, you may get twice as much as a recycling company would offer, but the whole process would require more effort to put it up for sale.
Don't forget too that eBay will take a cut of around 10% from the final sale amount.
